Lessons for Adults
Never played before but like the fiddle and want to have a go?
You can rent a violin from a music shop short term if you don’t want to invest. Feel free to book one lesson and see how you get on. I have taught a number of older adults from scratch, its about enjoying the process and your goal might be enjoying some simple classic tunes.
Classical Violinist Wanting to Learn Traditional Tunes?
If you’re a classical violinist and would like to learn traditional fiddle tunes for more informal playing, I can help. Learn bowing and left-hand techniques that are embedded in traditional music.
Violinist in a Band?
Want help to improvise around chord progressions or write solos. I can help you whether you’re performing in a small group or a full band. You can learn how to write melodies around chords or book a one off session to get you started.
Fiddle/Violin Lessons for Young People
I use familiar tunes and interactive activities to make learning fun and engaging as motivation is a key aspect, especially for younger learners. By helping students develop a strong musical identity, I aim to foster long-term commitment to practice and improvement.
I can incorporate both classical and folk/traditional styles in my lessons, supporting students through all stages of their musical journey, including GCSE Music, with flexible lesson schedules face to face and online.
Whether you’re playing for fun or preparing for exams, my lessons are designed to keep you inspired and progressing at your own pace.
